US Forest Service to Meet with Trail Users

Bentcreek72.jpg

It’s not often that National  Forests ask hikers about their opinions on trails. But that’s exactly what’s happening this month in Western North Carolina.

The US Forest Service is asking for our input on nonmotorized trails in Pisgah and Nantahala National Forest. So I guess that includes mountain bikers as well.

They are going to have a series of meetings around Western North Carolina in January. The output will be a plan for a sustainable trail system. That sounds great – but only if you get involved.

See their announcement for all the details and plan to go to one of the meeting.
