The Award Winning Documentary, Walking the Camino – Six Ways to Santiago, is coming to Asheville next week. Asheville must be a cool city because the movie will only be shown in a few East Coast locations.
Carolina Cinemas will be premiering the multiple award winning documentary, Walking the Camino – Six Ways to Santiago on May 9th and 10th at 5 pm and 7 pm. There will be Q & A session with the director and producer, Lydia B. Smith.
Walking the Camino is an up-close look at one of humanity’s most time-honored traditions. By following six pilgrims from all walks of life as they attempt to cross an entire country on foot with only a backpack, a pair of boots and an open mind, we witness the Camino’s magnetic and miraculous power to change lives. Driven by an inexplicable calling and a grand sense of adventure, each pilgrim throws himself heart-and-soul into his physical trek to Santiago and, most importantly, his personal journey to himself.
I’ve only done the French section of the El Camino, Le Chemin de St. Jacques. I’m eager to see how my experience is different from the more famous Spanish Camino. To read more about the movie, click.
